• If a picture receives 10 or more negative (-3) ratings, the system will inactivate the submitting account. This rule is in place to prevent an individual from submitting offensive pictures which do not meet our terms.
  
  
• You must meet certain criteria before you may submit your first picture. The system will require you to give 3 rating(s) and a 0 number of days to pass from the time you created your account before you submit your first picture. This rule is in place to minimize the risk of having someone create an account and immediately start sending objectionable pictures to the site.
  
  
• The photographer's name will be hidden for the first 24 hours after submission. This rule is in place to prevent bias by making each submission as anonymous as possible. In this way rating will not be influenced by either the identity of the photographer or by the number of points the photographer has accumulated overall.
  
  
• Once a day the system will select the Featured Photos of the Day. The system looks at the highest rated 81 pictures submitted two days ago.
  
  
• Once a week the top 81 scoring pictures will be placed on a page for all to rate. The top rated 6 photographs and the 75 finalist photographs will be displayed on the Picture of the Week page for one week. The winning photographs will also be displayed on most other pages for one week. The special voting will be done anonymously. The name of the photographer will not be displayed on the photographs as the voting is in progress.
  
  
• Bump Picture to Top: The 'Bump Picture to Top' feature will allow a photographer to pseudo resubmit the photo. This basically means the photo will get a new submission date and will be put back at the top of the photos pages.
  The rules which need to be met before a photo may be bumped are:
  1) The photo must be older than 24 hours
  2) The photo must have less than 5 ratings/comments
  3) The photo may only be bumped 2 times
  4) You are allowed to submit a photo
  Number 4 basically states that a bumped photo is treated the same as a new submission. If a person is not allowed to submit a new photo because he/she has submitted all the photos permitted in the time frame, he/she will not be able to bump a photo either. Once a photo is bumped a spot is taken away from his/her submission limit.
  
  
• If you are in Area 3 you cannot continually rate the same person. This rule is in place to prevent the excessive rewarding of any one photographer. This is also designed to keep the emphasis on the photos. See the Membership Benefit page for details.
